Telehealth gets major boost

In a major win for telehealth advocates, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has finalized a rule adding seven new telemedicine billing codes to the 2015 Medicare physician fee schedule, reports Politico.

The codes include those for psychotherapy, prolonged office visits, annual wellness visits and related matters, according to the article.
