Long wait times and crowded emergency departments reduce quality of care for patients. In Duke University Hospital's emergency department, a telehealth cart is on a roll with treating patients quickly and effectively.

Patients waiting to be seen are taken into an exam room along with the Telehealth Cart. An emergency physician then is able to check vitals though the cart and if they are on-call, can speak to patients from wherever they are.
