U-Systems updates breast ultrasound transducer
U-Systems has launched a new transducer technology designed for use with its automated breast ultrasound system.
Reverse-Curve Crystal (RCC) Transducer Technology is an ergonomic design that conforms to the anatomic curve of women’s breasts for improved comfort and imaging performance during an automated 3D ultrasound exam. RCC Technology enables convergent scan line geometry, which allows ultrasound beams to penetrate the skin perpendicularly, minimizing beam refraction, improving penetration and sharpening focus, according to the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based developer of automated breast ultrasound systems.
