Sodexo selects Xenex room disinfection system

Sodexo has selected Xenex Healthcare Services as its preferred partner for the disinfection of Sodexo client facilities.

Xenex’s portable room disinfection system uses pulsed xenon ultraviolet light to destroy all viruses, bacteria and bacterial spores in the patient environment without contact or chemicals.

The partnership with Austin, Texas-based Xenex enhances Sodexo's patient-focused infection prevention service model with the goal of preventing hospital acquired infections by eliminating the micro-organisms which cause them, according to the Gaithersburg, Md.-based provider of healthcare environmental services management.
