Harris Healthcare names Traficant president

Jim Traficant has been promoted to the position of president of Harris Healthcare Solutions. He was previously vice president and general manager of the business.

Traficant has more than 20 years of business development and operational leadership experience in both government and commercial markets, according to Harris Healthcare, of Melbourne, Fla.

He previously served as vice president of programs and business development for Harris IT Services and was division vice president of business development for Harris' Government Communications Systems Division.

Traficant is a member of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and is on the board of directors of Cancer Treatment Services International (CTSI), the company added.
