Barco unveils video-over-IP system

Barco, the healthcare imaging company based in Kortrijk, Belgium, will unveil Nexxis, an uncompressed video-over-IP system for image distribution in the operating room, at the MEDICA trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, Nov. 16 – 19.

Nexxis distributes uncompressed video, graphics, audio and computer data throughout the OR with near-zero latency through a 10Gbps IP network.

Additionally, surgeons and clinicians can share audio and video in real time with other surgical suites, and patient information can be accessed from inside the OR via a HIPAA-compliant gateway.
