Washington provider selects Qwest for network solutions

Denver, Colo.-based Qwest Communications has been selected by Memorial Practice Management (MPM) in Yakima, Wash., to provide a communication network solution to connect seven MPM-managed healthcare clinics in central Washington state.

The MPM clinics, owned and operated by Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, provide services, including staff recruitment, administration, billing and technical support designed to help physicians and their staffs manage their practices.

The Qwest Metro Optical Ethernet service will provide MPM with a scalable bandwidth to increase capacity when needed. Secure data transfers provide the seven Washington clinics turnkey support on a day-to-day basis. EHR applications will also be delivered through Qwest’s network solution.
