Verizon, Motorola and Boxtone partnership adds data security to Android products

New York City-based communications firm Verizon partnered with Schaumburg, Ill.-based mobile device manufacturer Motorola and Columbia, Md.-based mobile software developer Boxtone to make Boxtone’s Enterprise Mobility Management software available on Motorola’s Android products, which are compatible with Verizon’s wireless network.

Working together, the three companies incorporated a new level of data security into Motorola’s Android products, allowing HIPAA compliance.
