VentureHealth launches health innovation crowdfunding platform
VentureHealth, a San Jose, Calif.-based, online healthcare investment platform geared to accredited investors, launched a new model for equity crowdfunding for innovations that significantly improve clinical outcomes, according to a May 17 announcement.
The VentureHealth investment platform offers qualified investors, such as physicians and other accredited investors, an opportunity to access life sciences deals typically limited to venture capitalists, according to a company press release.
“Venture capital for early stage life sciences companies has dried up in the last few years, and promising companies are always looking for investors. VentureHealth has the potential to change how healthcare innovations are funded, which is a win for both entrepreneurs and investors,” Mir Imran, VentureHealth co-founder and managing director, said in a statement.
