TWC tests telemedicine solution with Cleveland Clinic

Time Warner Cable Business Class (TWC) announced that it is exploring a new telemedicine service in partnership with Cleveland Clinic.

As part of its home health monitoring strategy, TWC is conducting its first “virtual visit” telemedicine trial to enable Cleveland Clinic healthcare professionals to deliver services remotely to a patient’s home through a television equipped with secure, encrypted, two-way video conferencing technology.

The service will be offered as a fully contained, secure, bundled offering, which includes connectivity, installation and on-site equipment—as well as technical support for patients in their homes, according to the announcement.

“Our healthcare solutions are designed to support medical providers looking to transform the delivery and quality of patient care by leveraging our advanced technology, operational scale and high speed network," said Greg King, senior vice president and chief product and strategy officer, TWC Business Class.
