Siemens adds two contracts
El Centro Regional Medical Center and the Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh have contracted to implement Siemens Soarian web-based health information systems (HIS), and Soarian recently went live at Faith Regional Health Services.
At the165-bed El Centro Regional Medical in El Centro, Calif., a 10-year agreement with Siemens includes implementation of Soarian Clinicals and Soarian Financials, both of which will be remotely hosted at Siemens’ Information Systems Center. Terms include installing computerized physician order entry (CPOE), clinical analytics, patient access and physician revenue management capabilities.
The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, an 81-bed, nonprofit that focuses on children and young adults with special needs, has inked a new seven-year agreement with Siemens to replace its legacy EMR system with Soarian Clinicals, along with implementing Siemens Pharmacy, Med Administration Check and Soarian Device Connect. The Children’s Institute plans to use Clinicals functionality to build out its EHR, including CPOE installation.
Six months after signing a multi-year health IT agreement with Siemens, the 227-bed Norfolk, Neb.-based Faith Regional Health Services went live with Soarian Clinicals with the opening of a new 207,000-square foot, 111-bed tower.
