Saint Joseph's purchases Indiana imaging center

Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka, Ind., has purchased XRC Medical Imaging in South Bend, Ind., through an agreement with X-Ray Consultants (XRC).

The freestanding outpatient imaging center, now called SJRMC-Medical Imaging, will continue to offer imaging and radiology services, and is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in CT scanning, PET/CT scanning, ultrasound, breast ultrasound, mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy. It is also designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the ACR, according to the provider.

The private corporation of XRC, consisting of 15 board-certified diagnostic and interventional radiologists, will continue to operate as a separate entity.
