Polyglot, CarePoint team up for med management

Communications company Polyglot Systems and pharmacy management software developer CarePoint have joined forces to help healthcare providers communicate medication instructions to their patients more clearly.

The Charleston, S.C.-based CarePoint has integrated Polyglot’s Meducation product with its GuardianRx Total Pharmacy & Patient Management System. According to the Morrisville, N.C.-based Polyglot Systems, this will enable CarePoint’s GuardianRx users to take advantage of Meducation’s functionality, including the ability to generate medication instructions in English and 11 other languages.

Meducation also uses pictures to enhance communication of medication instructions when a language barrier exists between providers and patients, the companies added.
