Philips, BrainLAB equip new pediatric neurosurgery suite

The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre in Quebec has opened its new combined MRI/operating room suite for image-guided neurosurgery.

The suite was developed through a strategic partnership between Philips Healthcare and the Munich-based BrainLAB.

The hospital's new suite offers the Philips Achieva 3.0T X Series MRI scanner and BrainLAB's BrainSUITE iMRI to integrate intra-operative imaging with surgical navigation, the companies said.
