Peake produces cloud archiving platform

Peake Healthcare Innovations, a joint venture between Harris and Johns Hopkins Medicine, has launched PeakeSecure cloud archiving platform, a managed service that seeks to assist healthcare providers with storing and managing medical images and related healthcare information.

The joint venture, created in March 2011, has developed a cross-enterprise image archiving system which hosts viewing and workflow applications. By moving processing and storage to the cloud, the system facilitates sharing of image data within and across enterprise boundaries, according to Peake.
