NextGen, AMA join forces for online physician platform
NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, has entered an agreement with the American Medical Association (AMA) to offer NextGen Ambulatory EHR and NextGen Practice Management on a new AMA online platform.
With the AMA platform, physicians can assess and meet their clinical and practice needs by providing access to information, products and services with a single sign-on, the Horsham, Pa.-based company stated.
The platform is currently being beta tested in Michigan in collaboration with the East Lansing-based Michigan State Medical Society and should be operational and running by the beginning of 2011, NextGen added.
