New Topol book envisions patient-centered digitalized care
The good old days of "doctor knows best" are as good as gone, according to Eric Topol, renowned cardiologist at Scripps Translational Science Institute, in his new book, "The Patient Will See You Now."
In a review of the book for New York Times, Abigal Zuger, MD, writes that the book summarizes pretty much all of the futuristic chatter of the past decade, with predictions about doctor visits via smartphone, the demise of hospitals and a streamlined approach to diagnoses.
