MRO joins CMS electronic documentation pilot program

MRO is participating in a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) pilot of a gateway for electronic submission of medical documentation.

Through this partnership, MRO will work closely with CMS and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) and other health information handlers to drive the electronic end-to-end delivery of patient records for the healthcare providers, stated the King of Prussia, Pa.-based disclosure management application service provider.

MRO is working to build a gateway that integrates its ROI Online and Audit Tracker Online applications as well as several of the company’s health system customers directly with CMS and the organization’s CONNECT software. MRO is scheduled to participate with the ONC and other health information handlers for a planned integration with the Nationwide Health Information Network in July 2012, the company said.
