Most nurses use smartphones on the job

The majority of nurses (93 percent) own smartphones and of these, 88 percent use their smartphone apps on the job, according to data from market intelligence provider InCrowd.

Most nurses are absorbing the costs themselves with about 87 percent saying their employers do not cover any costs related to smartphone use.

Less than 1 percent of nurses said smartphone use was prohibited on the job.
