Mississippi facility taps Toshiba for MRI

Toshiba America Medical Systems has installed its Vantage Titan MR system at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.

According to the Tustin, Calif.-based company, the MRI system's 71 cm aperture and Pianissimo noise-reduction technology allows the medical center to serve its bariatric patient population with a system capable of imaging obese and claustrophobic patients.

In addition, the facility also is using the MR for the evaluation of non-healing wounds in diabetic patients, general patient imaging, including head, neck, spine, knee and abdominal/pelvis exams, said Toshiba.
