Minnesota HIE provides e-prescribing services to state rehab center

The Minnesota Health Information Exchange (MN HIE) has signed an agreement to provide e-prescribing and patient clinical information to Courage Center of Minnesota, a rehabilitation and resource center.

Courage Center specializes in treating brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, chronic pain, autism and disabilities experienced since birth.

MN HIE allows providers to create and send electronic prescriptions with a single link from the MN HIE portal while viewing a patient’s clinical information (medication history, eligibility information, lab history, immunization history and clinical care documents), according to the Minneapolis-based MN HIE.

According to the organization, 4.2 million Minnesota residents are currently represented in the MN HIE patient directory, allowing participating providers to exchange clinical and administrative information.
