MedPlus upgrades Care360 EHR with Direct Project specs

MedPlus, a subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics, has updated its web-based Care360 EHR with support for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT's Direct Project specifications.

Care360 EHR has also gained clinical decision support (CDS) capabilities, according to the Madison, N.J.-based MedPlus. Additional upgrades to Care360 EHR include the ability to send reminders, share clinical histories with patients, refer patients and communicate with care providers on other EHR systems.

In addition, providers can report to state immunization registries and syndromic surveillance registries via Care360 EHR's electronic interface, and can access community data sources and external documents, MedPlus stated.
