Massachusetts, GE, WPI partner for digital health research center

The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, General Electric and Worcester Polytechnic Institute have partnered to construct a research center where companies are able to test digital health innovations.

The State of Massachusetts will provide funding of $5 million, GE Healthcare Life Sciences will contribute $2.5 million and WPI will add another $9.5 million. The new facility, to be named PracticePoint, will offer simulated settings for surgical, clinical, rehabilitative and home healthcare settings for academic and industrial companies to research and test products.
