HIMSS promotes Hoyt executive VP
John P. Hoyt, FACHE, has been promoted to vice president of organizational services at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), effective June 14.
In this role, Hoyt will also serve as the executive head for HIMSS Analytics, according to the Chicago-based organization. As executive vice president of organizational services, he will be responsible for providing executive leadership and direction to HIMSS Analytics and other HIMSS departments focused on services or companies and organizations.
He will report to HIMSS President and CEO H. Stephen Lieber.
Hoyt joined HIMSS in 2008 as vice president of healthcare organization services, where he led efforts to expand the HIMSS organizational affiliate program. Before joining HIMSS, he served in senior management and CIO positions in various healthcare organizations and consultancy practices, including IBM Healthlink Services, Martha Jefferson Health Services and First Data Health Systems Group.
