Physicians Hospital System, a specialty healthcare facility network serving Indiana, will be joining Healthcare of Today’s network.

Healthcare of Today has entered into agreements to acquire a controlling interest in each of the operating entities for three specialty hospitals in Northern Indiana belonging to Physicians Hospital Systems. These hospitals include rehabilitative, acute care and surgical services.

The Burbank, Calif-based Healthcare of Today also will acquire related support entities.

The acquisitions are expected to close in mid-February, subject to completion of due diligence, according to both companies.
