Barco releases iPad app for medical image viewing calibration and QA

Barco has released the latest version of its MediCal QAWeb Mobile software for viewing DICOM images on the iPad.

The release Is compatible with Apple’s third-generation iPad and features a visual confidence test with up to 20 dynamic test patterns for visual calibration, according to Kortrijk, Belgium-based Barco.

Barco’s Master File for its QAWeb Mobile methodology has been accepted by the FDA, which allows healthcare developers and integrators to apply for 510(k) clearance when integrating Barco’s QA and calibration tool for mobile devices.
