3M software translates ICD-9 codes to ICD-10

3M has released a new software application that translates ICD-9 codes to ICD-10.

The 3M ICD-10 Translation Management Tool (TMT) is designed for hospitals, providers and vendors to convert documents and systems in preparation for the new ICD-10 coding standard scheduled to be implemented nationwide in October 2013. Healthcare organizations can use 3M TMT to translate ICD-9 codes found in clinical documentation, quality guidelines and utilization management programs, payor contracts, provider contracts, superbills, financial and quality reports, according to Salt Lake City-based 3M Health Information Systems, a provider of integrated software technology for medical records coding and a division of 3M.
