While there haven’t been any reports of a cybersecurity threat, the vulnerability could allow an unauthorized user to take control of the medical device remotely, alter settings on the systems and even impact patient test results, according to the FDA.

CVS Health has launched a new virtual care program for Aetna plan sponsors and CVS Caremark clients.

Walmart acquired the telehealth company back in May 2021. 

The device is a novel self-operated prenatal home ultrasound solution that enables pregnant women to self-scan for remote clinical assessment by their healthcare provider when the device is combined with their smartphone.

CMS has been updating its Medicare website since 2021 to make it easier to use, most recently redesigning the home page.

“We know that premature babies have a better chance of survival if they get a high quality of care in the first month of birth,” Jong-Hoon Kim, associate professor at the Washington State University School of Engineering and Computer Science and a co-corresponding author on the study, said in a statement.

The new company, Accrete Health Partners, will act as an investment arm in the company’s digital health services interests and partnerships.

As a result, the company stated it will pause the practice of prescribing controlled substances as a treatment for ADHD such as Adderall and Ritalin for new patients starting May 9.
