Joint Commission makes permanent Paula Wilson's presidencies
The Joint Commission has made permanent Paula Wilson's post as president and CEO of its Joint Commission Resources (JRC) and Joint Commission International (JCI) operations. Wilson had been filling those roles in a temporary capacity since June 2010.
JCR is the official publisher and educator of the Joint Commission. JCI assists international healthcare organizations, public health agencies, health ministries and others in more than 60 countries.
The search committee identified Wilson as the most qualified candidate and the Joint Commission board of commissioners unanimously approved her appointment, according to a statement.
Prior to joining the Joint Commission, Wilson ran a consulting practice in New York City and taught at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Previously, she was a vice president with the United Hospital Fund and an associate professor at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
