Hello Health and CollaborateMD to Offer First No-Cost, Combined EHR and Medical Billing Solution

NEW YORK, Sept. 19, 2013  -- Hello Health® and CollaborateMD have announced the integration of Hello Health's no-cost electronic health record (EHR) and patient portal with CollaborateMD's affordable medical billing and practice management system. The partnership marries Hello Health's one-of-a-kind business model with CollaborateMD's robust claim management functionality, for an easy-to-use, complete solution that is free and well-suited for small- to medium-sized independent medical practices.

"Sophisticated, intuitive health information technology should not be cost-prohibitive, and by offering a full-featured, clinical and practice management solution for free, we have taken a major step to help that cause," said Nathanial Findlay, founder and chief executive officer of Myca® Health, parent company of Hello Health.

The Hello Health EHR includes a comprehensive patient portal that enables providers to track and bill for telemedicine functionality. Patients pay a small monthly subscription for secure access to the portal, and the practice keeps a portion of that subscription revenue. Per terms of the partnership, CollaborateMD clients will be able to subtract their monthly license fee from the revenue generated by Hello Health.

"We're pleased to have a partner that shares our philosophy that running a medical practice should be simpler," said Douglas Kegler, founder and chief executive officer of CollaborateMD. "Our combined solution will help joint clients be compensated fully and expediently for the care they provide – and they won't have to incur any health information technology costs associated with the resulting revenue cycle improvements."

CollaborateMD provides a full-featured online medical billing and practice management solution with claim scrubbing, financial diagnostics, central business intelligence and other tools that help users accelerate the claim adjudication process and reduce accounts receivable.
