ASTRO elects new officers
The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) has announced the results of its recent election. These new officers will begin their terms at the society’s 53rd annual meeting in Miami Beach, Fla., which will be held Oct. 2-6.

- President-elect: Colleen A. Lawton, MD, Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee;
- Health policy vice-chair: Brian D. Kavanagh, MD, MPH, University of Colorado Denver in Aurora, Colo.;
- Research council vice-chair: Mary K. Martel, PhD, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
