California provider taps Toshiba x-ray system

Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, Calif., has installed Toshiba’s Infinix VF-I bi-plane vascular x-ray system for diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Along with the Infinix system, Western Medical is utilizing Toshiba’s Volume Navigation 3D roadmapping software, which automatically aligns 3D overlay with fluoroscopic images despite changes in C-arm position. The x-ray system includes two flat panel detectors and will be used for neurovascular interventions and peripheral vascular diagnoses and interventions, as well as stroke intervention, stent placement, tumor embolization and peripheral angiography, according to Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba America Medical Systems.
