The mass confusion surrounding the Affordable Care Act—which includes rules forbidding insurance companies from denying coverage and promotes free preventative care, among many other provisions—is the fault of both Democrats and Republicans, according to The Hill.

“Scholars have amply documented how the words—or silence—of our leaders powerfully shapes public opinion. If one political party shouts lies from the rooftops and the other falls silent, the lies will win every time,” according to the blog.
