Johnson & Johnson becomes the latest pharmaceutical company to sign on to TrumpRx

Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson is the latest company to sign onto TrumpRx.gov, the federal government’s direct-to-consumer discount program.

According to CBS News, the New Jersey-based multinational pharmaceutical giant is now listing four of its most popular drugs for sale through the website, which redirects users to marketplaces run by the drug companies themselves.

In return, the companies agree to provide prescriptions at a discounted rate, joining other major manufacturers, including AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, EMD Serono, Novo Nordisk and Pfizer.

Johnson & Johnson is now selling two types of metformin, a treatment for Type 2 diabetes, as well as Invokana, another medication for diabetes, and the blood thinner Xarelto through the platform.

The move follows a promise by the company to boost its cosmetic manufacturing. It’s said to be investing $55 billion to expand and build upon research and development sites in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

TrumpRx.gov began through an agreement with Pfizer, whereby that company could avoid the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place in 2025 for a period of three years.

The website officially launched in February 2026 and currently features dozens of medications. To get the best price, consumers will need to pay out of pocket.
