Will healthcare mergers lead to debt concerns?

With the announcement of a possible merger between AmSurg and Envison Healthcare Holdings the promise of “lower rates” was once again stated, but will rates actually drop? And if so how long will they stay down?

“The reality is leverage today is not a great thing,” said Envision CEO William Sanger. “I think there’s a fair amount of uncertainty in terms of how long these rates stay in place.”
