Shuffle 'em: Healthcare flash cards aim to spread knowledge

Flash cards are moving into the healthcare industry with help from Involution Studios, who have developed packs of “Health Care Cards”.

The 60 different healthcare cards are meant to educate people about different health concepts, including topics such as eating right, exercising and how to better monitor your health data. The cards are available in both paper and digital form, so healthcare advice is always within reach.

"Most of the work we do at Involution Studios involves digital innovation," said Juhan Sonin, Involution's chief design officer. "It was through this work with companies like Walgreen's, Mt. Sinai Hospital, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard that we developed the deep knowledge and experience offer this health and wellness solution."

"Increased knowledge of human anatomy, combined with the unprecedented access to data offered by the Internet of Things, provides an opportunity to make each of us and our society more healthy," said Sonin. "Our Health Care Cards are an open source platform upon which interested physicians and technologists can be an active part in driving a more healthful future."
