KLAS: Vendors struggling to deliver robust analytics products

Healthcare providers report that vendors are struggling to deliver user-friendly and robust healthcare analytics products, according to KLAS Enterprises.

According to its report, “Healthcare Analytics: Making Sense of the Puzzle Pieces,” there remains a persistent gap between what vendors deliver and what providers need at a time when analytics is seen as the cornerstone of new value-based models of care. KLAS interviewed more than 400 healthcare providers to capture their experiences with a number of business intelligence (BI) vendor products.

“Providers see analytics as a strategic compass for the changing healthcare world ahead, and their need for better results and better ways to understand outcomes through data analytics and BI is critical,” said Joe Van De Graaff, KLAS research director and report author.
