HealthTrust to offer 3M tech for ICD-10 transition

HealthTrust Purchasing Group has signed an agreement with 3M Health Information Systems to offer 3M clinical documentation improvement consulting services and software, and 3M ICD-10 transition planning services to HealthTrust’s network.

The agreement includes the 3M DRG Assurance Program, 3M’s clinical documentation program and the 3M Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) System, both expanded with ICD-10 concepts and terms, according to the Salt Lake City-based 3M.

HealthTrust members will also have access to 3M’s ICD-10 modeling and code translation services, clinical documentation assessment services and claims impact analysis services—all specifically developed for ICD-10, scheduled to be implemented nationwide in October 2013, the company added.
