Healthcare analytics market valued at $21.3M by 2020

The global healthcare analytics market is estimated to grow from $4.4 million in 2013 to $21.3 million by 2020, according to a report by global market research and consulting company Markets and Markets.

The firm’s 272-page report, "Healthcare Analytics/Medical Analytics Market by Application, Type, End-user, Delivery Mode--Trends & Global Forecasts to 2020", analyzed and studied the major market drivers, restraints and opportunities throughout the world and profiled various companies.

Based on end users, the market growth will be mainly driven by healthcare providers, health information exchanges (HIEs) and accountable care organizations during the forecast period. Based on geography, U.S. dominates the market due to federal healthcare mandates such as Meaningful Use, ICD-10 implementation and the Affordable Care Act.

“These initiatives help to boost the adoption of EHRs and HIE, thereby boosting the usage of analytics to leverage the generated data,” according to the report.
