CMS releases draft clinical quality measures at AHRQ website

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), in conjunction with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), has released draft clinical quality measures on the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ’s) U.S. Health Information Knowledgebase (USHIK) website, the AHRQ announced on May 28.

The measures, which are open for public comment, include “Tobacco Use and Help with Quitting Among Adolescents” and “Hepatitis B Vaccine Coverage Among All Live Newborn Infants Prior to Hospital or Birthing Facility Discharge.”

The draft measures are located at the website’s Meaningful Use portal. When authenticated, users can access the complete data of the draft measures and submit comments, which will be reviewed by CMS and ONC.
