UC San Diego CMIO leaves to become CIO

Joshua Lee, MD, has been appointed CIO for the University of Southern California’s USC Health, effective July 1.

In his new role, Lee will lead IT initiatives for the university’s Keck School of Medicine and the Keck Medical Center, including USC Care Medical Group, Keck Hospital of USC, USC Norris Cancer Hospital and satellite locations.

Most recently, Lee was CMIO for UC San Diego Health Sciences where he led the system-wide implementation of an EHR system that led the organization to achieve meaningful use Stage 7.

Lee also serves as an associate professor of clinical medicine, and is an attending physician and hospitalist.
