South African lung institute installs Delft DR system

Delft Imaging Systems has installed its Odelca-DR digital x-ray camera system at the University of Cape Town Lung Institute in Cape Town, South Africa.

The Veenendaal, Netherlands-based company said the Odelca-DR will help accelerate tuberculosis case detection.The installation is part of the Computer-Aided Diagnosis for Tuberculosis program, partially financed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, in response to South Africa’s high tuberculosis case rate.

Delft worked with its regional partner, QuantX International, in the installation and support of the program, said the company.
