RadNet continues expansion across Md.

Outpatient imaging giant RadNet has acquired five additional Maryland imaging centers, bringing the provider’s total number of practices to 201.

RadNet, whose corporate offices are located in Los Angeles, has purchased five multi-modality imaging centers from the Birmingham, Ala.-based provider Diagnostic Health. RadNet expects the five facilities to bring the company an additional $10 million in yearly revenue.

RadNet said that it anticipates closing the deal in April and would not disclose the cash and assumption of liabilities figures from the acquisition. Each practice incorporated under the deal performs MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and x-ray, among other exams.
