Philips equips Geisinger's interventional lab

Philips Healthcare has been selected to equip Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System’s Heart and Vascular Institute with interventional x-ray equipment in the institute's new Hospital for Advanced Medicine.

Under the terms of the contract, the institute will install two Philips Allura Xper FD20 single-plane fixed x-ray systems, two Philips electrophysiology labs, including an Allura FD10 single plane fixed x-ray system and an Allura Xper FD10/10 biplane cardiovascular x-ray system, stated the North Andover, Mass.-based company. An FD20 single-plane cath lab will be deployed at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., added Philips.
