Nycomed, GE form venture to sell contrast agents in Russia, CIS
GE Healthcare and Nycomed have signed an agreement to form a joint venture for the local sales, marketing and distribution of GE’s medical diagnostic contrast agents in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The joint venture is expected to become operational during the second half of this year, following the satisfaction of customary conditions.
The new company will sell, market and distribute GE medical diagnostics’ CT, x-ray and MRI contrast media products, according to the Zurich-based Nycomed. It is expected that the new company will have around 40 employees in its Moscow offices and across the region it serves.
Further financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
