Nevada hospital awarded $1.7M for EHR transition
The Boulder City Hospital is getting nearly $2 million in federal funds to move from paper to EHRs.
The institute was awarded a $13 million grant last year to help renovate and expand its facilities. Both grants came from the Department of Agriculture's Rural Development Center.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced the grant, saying, "These additional funds will further improve the healthcare services available to Boulder City residents. With this latest round of grant money, the hospital will be able to switch their records from a manual system to an electronic system. This will improve the hospital's efficiency and response time to their patients' needs, while cutting costs.”
