Drummond debuts hospital EHR certification program

Drummond Group, an Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB), has unveiled the EHR Certification Roadmap for Hospitals, a certification program for hospitals that use EHR systems developed in-house or or use systems comprised of various technologies from multiple vendors.

Hospitals with homegrown EHR technology or modules from multiple vendors can follow Drummond’s EHR Certification Roadmap to test their software in an effort to earn ONC certification in order to qualify for meaningful use incentives, according to the Austin, Texas-based Drummond.

The roadmap program provides hospitals with an evaluation of certification needs, certification gap analysis and customized testing, beginning with guiding the hospital in cataloging the technologies in the hospital‘s EHR network, Drummond stated.
