DeSalvo leaving HITPC co-chair role

National Coordinator Karen DeSalvo, MD, MPH, MSc, is leaving her post as co-chair on the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT's Health IT Policy Committee.

Kathleen Blake, MD, vice president of performance improvement at the American Medical Association, will replace DeSalvo, it was announced during the joint meeting of Health IT Policy and Standards Committees on April 19.

Blake will serve alongside DeSalvo's current co-chair, Paul Tang, MD, chief innovation and technology officer at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
