Centura connects to Colorado HIE
Centura Health, a faith-based nonprofit health system, based in Englewood, Colo., has agreed to connect its EHR system to the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization's (CORHIO) health information exchange (HIE) network.
CORHIO’s network links hospitals, physicians and other care providers to health information including lab test and pathology results, x-ray, MRI and other imaging reports as well as physician transcription reports. Later this year, the network will be upgraded to include patient medication lists, allergies and immunizations as well as lab and imaging orders, according to Centura.
The agreement to connect with CORHIO’s network includes Centura's 12 acute care hospitals in Colorado: Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville; St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood; St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster; St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco; Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton; Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker; Porter Adventists Hospital in Denver; OrthoColorado Hospital in Lakewood; Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs; St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs; St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo; and St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City.
