Carestream scores DRX-1 installs

Healthcare IT provider Carestream Health has inked several new contracts for products based on its wireless, cassette-size DRX-1 detector technology.

According to the company, recent U.S. orders for its digital radiography suite, DRX-Evolution include: 
  • Kennedy Health System in Cherry Hill, N.J.;
  • Sanford Health MeritCare Bemidji in Bemidji, Minn.; and
  • University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin, Texas.

Orders placed for its CR to DR upgrading technology, DRX-1 systems include:
  • Healthcare Midwest in Kalamazoo, Mich.;
  • Sanford Health MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D.;
  • Scott & White Round Rock in Round Rock, Texas; and
  • Texas Center for Joint Replacement, a member of Texas Health Physicians Group in Plano, Texas.

The Rochester, N.Y.-based company has also reported a sale for its new technology, the DRX-Mobile Retrofit Kit, at Fargo, N.D.-based Sanford Health MeritCare Hospital. The technology converts selected GE Healthcare and Siemens Healthcare mobile x-ray systems to DR using the company’s cassette-size DRX-1 detector.
